Blackline is a one-of-a-kind architectural home in Harrington Park, designed to make an impression from every angle. At its centre is an indoor-outdoor pool and spa, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass so the water becomes part of the home from almost every room. A dramatic suspended first floor, supported by a cantilevered Y-column, gives the home its distinctive floating form, while polished concrete, imported Italian materials, natural timber and carefully integrated technology carry that level of detail throughout the interiors.
There are plenty of surprises too, including a concealed butler’s kitchen, custom cinema, hanging fireplace and a bespoke water feature that creates a rain effect across the pool glazing. Behind the scenes, bringing a design this ambitious to life meant some serious engineering and problem-solving. That’s exactly what made this project so rewarding to build.
